About
Jessi Eoin (they/them) is a comic artist, illustrator, and writer whose work focuses on uplifting fat, disabled, queer, and trans people. Their work has been published in Just Femme & Dandy, Wizards in Space Literary Magazine, carte blanche, PeachFuzz Magazine, Rebel Mountain Press’s Disabled Voices Anthology, and elsewhere. They have also exhibited with the Feminist Art Collective’s Feminist Art Fest.
Their work also includes supporting and advancing artists in the comics community as well as fat artists, accomplishing this through their own efforts on their website, as well as through their membership with the Cartoonist Cooperative and as co-founder of the Fat Artist Network (in development).
When not working, Jessi can be found in their naturally semi-feral state, bouncing between a myriad of crafty hobbies to ambushing their partner to play as he walks by minding his own business to pining for tree dappled light and cool breezes.
Availability
Jessi is available for work on short comics, graphic novels, book cover and interior art, and other illustration work.
They are also available for sensitivity readings for disability, fatness, queer identity, and transgender/nonbinary identities.

“A sensitivity reader reads through a manuscript for issues of representation and for instances of bias on the page. The goal of a sensitivity reader isn’t to edit a manuscript for clarity and logic, although that may be an additional service offered. A sensitivity reader reviews a manuscript for internalized bias and negatively charged language. A sensitivity reader is there to help make sure you do not make a mistake, but they are also NOT a guarantee against making a mistake.” – Writing in the Margins
Please reach out to me in the planning, drafting/designing, and scripting phases; I do not read for completed art.

I am occasionally able to take on requests for comic book reviews. This service is provided for free as a means of supporting the community and encouraging comics readership. While I read widely, I am selective about the kind of books I read. Please be sure to review all the information here before reaching out to me!
What I Read
I’m happy to read Middle Grade and up. I also love most lengths and formats of comics: anthologies, graphic novels, manga, manhwa, mini comics, micro comics, single issues, trade paperbacks, web comics, and wordless comics are all wonderful. I especially love comics that feature positive representations of fat, disabled, queer, racialized, older, and trans characters!
This is what I typically gravitate toward:
- Fantasy
- Scifi
- Horror
- Paranormal
- Comedy
- Adventure
- General fiction
- Memoir
- Some slice of life
- Romance/Erotica
- Some historical, preferably via a memoir perspective rather than a biography
What I Don’t Read
These will be a hard sell to me if at all; it has to have a mind blowing concept or completely turn the genre expectations upside down:
- Superhero
- Early childhood/picture books
- Cooking/Food-related
- Music-oriented stories
- Tutorial/How to comics
- “Inspirational” stories
- Hardcore porn
- Westerns
- Biographies
- Mecha
- Religious proselytizing (I 100% will not read this)
Content Notes
Please include a content note if your comic includes any of the following, and note whether it’s a brief mention or a detailed/graphic description:
- ableism
- abuse: physical, emotional, verbal, or neglect
- child abuse
- domestic violence
- fatphobia
- homophobia
- institutionalization/involuntary confinement
- medical abuse/trauma
- misogyny
- sexual assault or harassment/rape
- self-harm
- suicide
- Tourette’s
- transphobia
The inclusion of any of these doesn’t automatically mean I won’t read your comic; I just need a heads up on certain topics at times.
Timeline
I typically have a review schedule planned out for 6+ months. If you need your comic reviewed by a set date, please reach out 6 months or more in advance to ensure I can meet your needs. I will try to accommodate requests for less than that where I can, but this isn’t always possible.
Additional Notes
If you’d like to be interviewed as a comics creator, let me know! My availability for unsolicited interview requests is limited, but if we click and I have time, I’d be interested in hearing from you!
I publish comic reviews on my website, Storygraph, Goodreads, and NetGalley where applicable. Reviews on my website will also be sent to my newsletter and Patreon subscribers. I also cross-post reviews, interviews, and such on the Fat Artist Network and the Cartoonist Cooperative websites. If you’re uncomfortable with being included in either of those, please let me know!

Shop orders are typically sent out on Wednesdays using USPS First Class service. If you would like to request expedited shipping, please reach out to me before placing your order!
I always ship your items with the utmost care and attention. However, sometimes a package can be damaged during shipping outside of my control. Unfortunately, I can’t be held responsible for damages that occur en route.
Estimated time for delivery within the United States: 1-2 weeks
Estimated time for delivery outside the United States: 7 to 21+ days
Please refer to the USPS website for updates on where they can and cannot currently ship before placing your order. If your country is listed on the suspensions list, please wait to place your order when it’s available to your area.
I do my best to get all orders shipped on time, but delays may still occur from time to time due to the nature of shipping or disability.
Please note that once a package has been shipped, it is out of my hands. I encourage you to review my Return Policy for details before you place your order and to reach out to USPS for any issues that may arise.
For customers outside the US, please bear in mind that you will be responsible for any and all additional charges that may or may not arise from customs duties and taxes, such as VAT. These additional charges vary by country and are usually due upon delivery.
For example, VAT, at the rate your country determines it to be, will be collected on the full value of the transaction including shipping costs, as the shipping costs are considered part of the total purchase. So if you’ve ordered an item for $25 USD with a $18 USD shipping charge, it will be $43 USD. Your country’s addition of the Value Added Tax will most likely be on the entire $43 USD order.
Please note that I currently cannot ship to the UK due to new VAT laws and regulations as a result of Brexit. I’m also unable to ship to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria due to US laws.
If you have any issues with your order such as an incorrect or missing item in your order, please email me at hellojbeoin [at] gmail [dot] com to give me the details, and I will happily work with you!
Otherwise, for the foreseeable future, all sales are final. If I were part of a large company and had the backing of all those resources, I would love to be able to provide you with a refund for any purchase you make. However, working as an independent artist is a much different reality.
I appreciate your understanding!
There will be a $15.00 USD fee for any and all chargebacks.
A chargeback is where a customer goes to their bank and tells them that a charge on their account was made without the customer’s authorization. The bank will then force a refund from my account and additionally charge me a $15.00 USD fee as punishment.
If a customer does this knowingly to obtain a “refund,” this is called “Friendly Fraud,” which isn’t too friendly and is definitely theft, hence the $15.00 USD charge.

I encourage everyone shopping for a gift to place their order as soon as possible. I typically close the shop for the second half of December and reopen in the New Year, typically sometime in late January or February.
Patrons who subscribe to my Patreon will receive a discount code each month in addition to their regular benefits.
I’m a fat, white, disabled, neurodivergent, queer, transgender/nonbinary person. Specifically, I’m agender, meaning I don’t have a gender.
My pronouns are they/them, and you can use it like this, “Jessi said they love their friends, their partner, and themself.” Thanks for asking!
Hey, look! I have a face!
And this is it! 😁 Everything you read and see of my work is 100% made by me– a certified human! I don’t use AI or any generative tech in my work, and I support the efforts of those across multiple industries who are striving to prioritize the work of and protect the rights of creators everywhere.
If you want to scrape my work for training AI/generative machine learning, don’t. I may not have the ability to prevent you, but if I ever find out you did and I get close enough to you, you are at risk of being bitten at the very least. 😀 Same goes if you use my work to sell NFTs or promote cryptocurrency.
‘Kay, that’s it! Stay weird and deeply human please, it’s so much more interesting than that other stuff!
